Write Workforce Training Grants
The Department of Workforce Services offers training funds that can provide up to $2,000 per year for you and each of your employees. If you add a new position the available amount jumps to $4,000. SWEDA will prepare your Training Fund applications and assist you through the grant reporting process. Please note: Applications must be submitted thirty (30) days prior to the training date, no exceptions.

SWEDA hosts conferences and workshops each year to discuss Community Development Block Grants (CBDG), Business Ready Community (BRC), and Community Facility Grant (CFP) and Energy Retrofit Grants, and topic specific workshops on economic development, infrastructure, collaborative community development, and other topics. Main Street–Support for downtown businesses The National Trust Main Street Center is a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Center is the nation's leader in downtown preservation-based revitalization, providing assistance, information, and leadership to grassroots-based organization around the country.
As a unique economic development tool, the Main Street Four-Point Approach is the foundation for local initiatives to revitalize downtown districts by leveraging local assets from cultural or architectural heritage to local enterprises and community pride. This comprehensive strategy fosters incremental improvement in four broad areas:
1. Design–Improving downtown's image by enhancing its appearance. 2. Economic Restructuring–Strengthening the existing economic base of downtown while diversifying it. 3. Organization–Building consensus and cooperation among the groups that play roles in the downtown. 4. Promotion– Marketing downtown's unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, new business, tourists and others.
Wyoming Main Street works in partnership with the National Main Street Center in order to provide information, technical assistance, research, and advocacy to communities interested in preserving and revitalizing their downtown districts.
